Calthrop knife, 9 inches long, used in Saxony during the Seven Years War. These knives were screwed on to beams of wood and placed under water in moats. The hole in the blade was intended to put a piece of stick through so as to form a handle to screw the knife. In the Klemm Collection, Dresden.
