Who is Nebuzar-adan?
        NEBUZAR-A'DAN
        (Nebo sends posterity), captain of the body-guard of Nebuchadnezzar. 2 Kgs 25:8. He conducted the siege of Jerusalem to a successful issue, the particulars of which are given in 2 Kgs 25:8-21. He treated Jeremiah with generous consideration, as Nebuchadnezzar commanded. Jer 39:11; Jer 40:1. His speech to Jeremiah is preserved in Jer 40:2, sqq. When Nebuchadnezzar, five years later, besieged Tyre, Nebuzar-adan came again to Jerusalem, and carried off seven hundred and forty-five Jews more into captivity. Jer 32:30.
