What is Hara?
        HA'RA
(mountain-land), a place, evidently in western Assyria, to which the Israelites east of the Jordan were carried captive, 1 Chr 5:26. It is generally regarded as a variation of Haran. From the connection in which it is named, it must have been on or near the Khabour River.
