Sallai in the Bible Encyclopedia - ISBE sal'-a-i, sal'-i (callay; Salom; Codex Alexandrinus Salo, with variants): (1) Eponym of a Benjamite family which settled at Jerusalem after the return, descendants of "Sallu" (1 Ch 9:7; Neh 11:7,8); the pedigrees of Sallu differ decidedly in the two passages.
