Mibsam in Easton's Bible Dictionary fragrance. (1.) One of Ishmael's twelve sons, and head of an Arab tribe (Gen. 25:13). (2.) A son of Simeon (1 Chr. 4:25).

Mibsam in Fausset's Bible Dictionary ("sweet odor".) 1. Son of Ishmael (Genesis 25:13). Progenitor probably of a tribe dwelling in the part of Arabia yielding balsam and perfumes. 2. Son of Simeon; named as his brother Mishma from the Ishmaelite Mibsam (1 Chronicles 4:25.)
