Timna or Timnah
        (restraint).
        1. A concubine of Eliphaz son of Esau, and mother of Amalek Ge 36:12 it may be presumed that she was the same as Timna sister of Lotan. Ibid. ver. 22, and 1Ch 1:39 (B.C. after 1800.)
        2. A duke or phylarch of Edom in the last list in Ge 36:40-43; 1Ch 1:51-54 Timnah was probably the name of a place or a district. [See the following article]
