with her many olive trees. Gethsemane (Oil Press) was located just
outside the wall of Jerusalem, at the base of the Mount of Olives about
100 yards beyond the bridge over the Brook Kedron. It was the place of
Jesus' solitude with His disciples and the place of intense agony before
His crucifixion. Many Biblical scholars place the Garden of Gethsemane a
few hundred yards to the northeast of the traditional garden location.
