Ancient Hittite Soldiers This painting is of two soldiers of the Hittite army from the 5th century BC bearing helmets, spears and shields. Their sculptures were excavated among the ruins of ancient Carchemish, on a palace wall near the door. The Hittites are mentioned often in the Bible. |
