Etruscan Sarcophagus
This Etruscan male head is from a 6th century BC sarcophagus. The Etruscans
took well care for their dead. They believed that the soul dwelt in the tomb and
if it was cared for with the necessities and luxuries of life then the spirit
would be happy, if not it would come to haunt them.
