People of Etruria. The word Etruscan can pertain to their inhabitants, civilization, art, or language. Etruria was an ancient country located between the Arno and Tiber rivers. It was the territory of the Etruscans, who in the 6th century BC spread Etruscan civilization throughout much of Italy. They were later forced back into Etruria and eventually disintegrated.
