The Nations Defeated by King David

After King Saul's death, David was proclaimed king of Judah at Hebron, and after the murder of Saul's son Ishbosheth, he was crowned king by the tribes of Israel. David conquered Jerusalem from the Jebusites and made it his capital and center of worship. He expanded his kingdom by victories over the Philistines, Moabites, Ammonites, and Edomites, and suppressed many rebellions.
