IMMAN'UEL (i-man'u-el; "God with us"; i.e., "savior").

A title given to Christ by Matthew (1:23) after (Is 7:14) revealing Jesus as the God-man (theanthropos) and has reference to the personal union of the human nature and the divine in Christ.
