Bethsaida
BETHSA'IDA (beth-sa'i-da; Gk. from Aram. bet sayda, "house or place of
fishing").
A city in Galilee, on the NE coast of the Sea of Tiberias (Jn 1:44; 12:21).
It was the home of Peter, Andrew, and Philip, and frequently visited by Jesus.
Our Lord rebuked its inhabitants for not receiving His teachings (Lk 10:13).
It is probably to be located at Aradj about a mile E of where the Jordan River enters the Sea of Galilee.
