BEGOTTEN " one of a kind."

A New Testament word that describes Christ as the only, or unique, Son of His heavenly Father (Jn 3:16-18; Heb 11:17; 1 Jn 4:9).

The Greek word expresses the idea of distinctiveness--" one of a kind." As the unique, sinless Son, Jesus accomplished our salvation through His death on the cross.
