Bersebe in Galilee. Khirbet. Abu esh-Sheba. The Talmud marked the division between Upper and Lower Galilee: "Upper Galilee above Kefar Hananyah, a country where sycomores are not found; Lower Galilee below Kefar Hananyah, which produces sycamores." Josephus gave the breadth of Lower Galilee as from Xaloth, at the roots of Tabor, to Bersabe.
