Matt 23
37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are
sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her
chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!
38 "See! Your house is left to you desolate;
39 "for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, 'Blessed
is He who comes in the name of the Lord!'"

This information program takes us through the life of Christ in harmony with all four
of the gospel accounts. The emphasis is on, "Y'Shua ha Mashiach" - Jesus, the
Messiah. Understanding His teachings from a Hebraic backdrop, and examining His life and
character in a way that gives insight into the incomprehensible love of a Man among men,
One who befriended the most wretched, and felt with the deepest of emotions the beauties
and agonies of the human experience. Unique insights into the history of that time period.
Matt 21:12-13 "Then Jesus went into the
temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned
the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said
to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have
made it a 'den of thieves.'"

The Temple of Herod in the model of Jerusalem at the
Holyland Hotel in Israel. The model shows Jerusalem as it must have looked in 63 AD., the
end of the Second Temple era, just before the Romans destroyed the Temple in 70 AD. The
models construction was supervised by Prof. Michael Avi Yonah and was based on
descriptions of the city given by Flavius Josephus, the Talmuds, the Mishna, the
Tosephtha, recent archaeological discoveries, and contemporary sources.
The Western (Wailing) Wall is all that remains of the
Jerusalem Temple where Jesus ministered. Herod began the incredible remobeling project in
19 BC., and it continued long after his death. It was completed in 63 AD., only 7 years
before the Romans destroyed the Temple in 70 AD.

THE WESTERN (WAILING) WALL "Hakotel
Hama'aravi" is all that remains of the Jerusalem temple where Jesus taught and
prayed. This wall formed part of the plaza upon which stood the remodeled temple of Herod
the Great. Herod's vast remodeling project began in 19 BC, and continued long after his
death. It was completed only 7 years before the Romans destroyed the Temple in 70 AD. It
acquired the name "Wailing Wall" because during the long exile of the Jewish
people from the city, they could return only once a year to mourn the destruction of the
Temple. When Israeli tanks rumbled into Jerusalem's Old City in June of 1967, it was the
first time, except for a brief period in 135 AD, that Jews controlled the site since 70
AD. Today there is always someone praying at the Western Wall. One well known custom
associated with the Wall is to insert small papers into the fissures between the massive
Herodian stones.

Luke 19
41 "Now as He
drew near, He
saw the city and
wept over it,
42 saying, "If
you had known,
even you,
especially in this
your day, the
things that make
for your peace!
But now they are
hidden from your
eyes. 43 "For days
will come upon
you when your
enemies will build
an embankment
around you,
surround you and
close you in on
every side, 44
"and level you,
and your children
within you, to the
ground; and they
will not leave in
you one stone
upon another,
because you did
not know the
time of your
visitation."
