"This sumptuous cosmetic box, designed for a high-ranking
woman, is decorated in a mixed style, The Aegean, or Cretan style of
the Ibex woman's dress is combined with an antithetical oriental
style of composition and symbolic imagery : a goddess or priestess
dominating wild animals. Precious ivory objects like this were
common enough property among the rich merchants of Ugarit."
